Tendo esse espirito de economia golobal e já cicatrizados com o racionamento que atingiu nosso país anos atrás sites na net tem nos alarmado sobre um fato que de certa forma é bastante interessante, este fato se trata do GOOGLE mas especificamente da famosa tela branca do google. eles dizem que para exibir a tela branca do google em um desktop usa-se aproximadamente 75 watts, sendo que para exibir a mesma tela so que com padrão de cor preto usa-se cerca de 59 watts. Sem falar que a tela no branco se torna mais prejudicial, devido ao excesso de luminosidade do que a preta.
Sendo que o google recebe cerca de 200 milhoes de acessos por dia.
Em seu blog (EcoIron), o americano Mark Ontkus fez as contas dessa economia e, partindo do pressuposto que cada busca é exibida por 10 segundos, chegou à conclusão que essa mudança economizaria 750 megawatts-hora (mWh) por ano!
